The need of shortening URL on the internet has been growing over the last few months mostly for Twitter, the new blogging phenomenon. It’s why we are launching shr.im, a new site to shorten your URLs. With innovative features such as statistics, the ability to login with your twitter account, a very complete API and a very simple interface.

Twitter accounts

Who feels the need to create a new account for every site they visit. Certainly not us! That’s why shr.im allows you to use your Twitter account. And you mustn’t worry about safety because the authentication is done with OAuth, a secure process.

Statistics

Once your URL is redifined, you might feel the need to know if your link is visited or not. Shr.im lets you do this with a page with some very complete and detailed statistics such as the number of clicks and the different countries in which your link was opened.

API

If you want to use shr.im’s tools without going on our site, you can use our very complete and useful API. The API’s features include seeing all the latest links, your latest links but it also lets you edit or delete links.
